Barbie doll cake

My first Doll cake was so fun to make, it will not be my last.

I have been wanting to do this cake for a long time. The cake as suck is fairly boring since it has been made so many time there is not much uniqueness to the design.

With that said, the fun part of this cake were the creativity can go wild is actually the design of the dress it self, I was Inspired by fairy and very girlish, adding the yellow and green to balance up the pink tones.

I tried to make so aspects of it easy on myself since it is my first time and unexpected things always comes up when doing some particular cake for the first time.

The amount of detailed work that goes into making this cake is crazy but also what makes the cake making fun. ( pearl got loose when i touched the hair).

At this point I was still working on the ganache, making the dress and applying the fondant

Here I got the cake on my decoration station, preparing the flowers and leaves for the detail work.

The it was all about the details.
